With a growing choir and orchestra we have begun addressing the need for platform space! Part of the project involves the “unseen.” That is common in construction. When I’m on a project at home, my wife likes to see the progress as walls go up or obvious big changes are seen. It’s when I get into the laborious detail work that isn’t apparent outwardly that she begins to think, “man, he didn’t do much today!” The fact is though, that the unseen laborious detail work is essential to the project. As we work on trying to raise project funds things like new outdoor tables and benches are obvious changes. What is not so apparent are the costs associated with what we don’t see. In our walk of life, our heavenly Father would have us give the greatest importance to those things unseen; those things not so obvious on the exterior. The Lord Jesus Christ framed it this way in Matthew 23:26 “Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also”. The principle is that if we get serious and focus on a clean inner life, a clean heart, a clean mind and a clear conscience, then the outside will get cleaned up as well. So, think about that “unseen construction work.”
