I have several things to talk about today!
SHARPENING WEEK I’ve just returned from a week in Colorado with over 30 other pastors for a “Sharpening Week” where we hiked together, “talked shop” of pastoring, studied a book together, and learned about mindsets that can help us filter decisions. I wrote about it in more detail on Wednesday, but overall, I come away from weeks like these tired but full, you know what I mean? I am so thankful for the way God has been working in our church in 2025, and I’m so excited about this next season we’re entering.
MISSIONS REVIVAL Today we introduce the materials for our Missions Revival coming Oct. 12–15. Missions is about reaching Jerusalem (our home town), Judea, Samaria (our region and country), and the uttermost part of the earth (foreign countries) with the Gospel. Please take a booklet and plan now on being involved.
MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS Last Sunday night we started highlighting the various ministries of our church. Dr. Andrade helps coordinate our volunteer preachers and servants who give their Thursday nights to preach to the inmates at the Southwest Detention Center, and we regularly have people saved through this incredible Jail Ministry.
DITW BIBLE INSTITUTE The signup sheets are out for our Deeper In the Word Bible Institute classes, starting in just a few weeks. You can find the details at CBCTemecula.com/DITW
FALL FESTIVAL Part of reaching our “Jerusalem” is through the evangelistic event of the Fall Festival. Continue to invite people to church, but especially as this special day approaches (Nov. 9).
