I’m always bummed this time of year. I hate it getting dark so early. It’s nice to have the light in the mornings, but I’d still rather have it in the evenings.
Remember being in Alaska? Remember how light it was at 11pm?! That was in the middle of summer. Now, think what they’re going through. Super-depressing place to be when it’s only like between 10am and 3pm. No wonder they hate winters!
So anyway, I’m not sure why I’m ranting about sunlight. If we can do anything about this, biblically, then let’s “rejoice and be glad in it” whether we like it or not. Good days and bad days—we’re commanded to rejoice in it. Mondays, dark days, rainy days, hot days, every days… rejoice! And not just because you got some extra sleep, either.
