I’ve recently been working through some BIBS books as I have been trying to bundle them for sales. It has been somewhat nostalgic to think back to the original lessons that we worked through on Wednesday nights, and then the weekly check-ins from your daily devotions.
Many of you were so faithful to be in your Bible every day, and it showed.
Has that slipped? Have you been as faithful to your devotions as GOD would want you to be? Not me! I know I can do better, and I am sure you can, too.
This summer, make it a new-summer’s-resolution to never miss one day of devotions. I like what Keli said in her testimony on Sunday—that she doesn’t like to start her day not without getting in the Word.
I hope that’s true of all of us.
And guess what, if you miss a day (or, should I say when you miss?), that’s okay… read tomorrow. I’m serious.
If you miss a WEEK, that’s okay… read tomorrow.
If you’ve NEVER read your Bible, that’s okay… read tomorrow!
Don’t beat yourself up for what you’re NOT doing. Just start doing what you know is right!
Being at church isn’t enough. Not cussing isn’t enough. Coming to camp isn’t enough. Loving God isn’t enough. It HAS to show in what comes OUT of your life. Bible reading, Bible meditation, Bible study, a prayer time—these are all evidences of REAL love of God.
Are you real?
Let this summer show it in your personal morning routine. I have BIBS books available if you want to have an outline. Otherwise, start. Start tomorrow!
