If money shows a person or organization’s values, then our church really values our choir! I just spent a ton of money on our upcoming Christmas music.
Choir is not a money-making ministry. We do not charge the congregation to listen to us sing, and big events (like our Christmas outreach) eat up BIG chunks of our budget. For some reason, this year’s Christmas music was especially expensive. Thankfully, we had some donated to us free of charge. And, thankfully, our pastor values godly, excellent music.
Each song will be a traditional carol but arranged in an exciting (and more difficult) way. We are doing about half the songs that we normally do, but each arrangement will take probably twice as long to learn! I guess it balances out, right?
I think you will like the music. Instead of one full cantata, we will introduce each song separately. I know… prolonging the suspense, right?
You will enjoy them, I’m sure. Hopefully, the audience will, too!
