First, I have not forgotten about your CDs (for those of you who requested one). If you would like a CD of the parts to the Christmas songs, please write a note and put it in my box. Please include your name and the part you sing. Otherwise, please visit cbctemecula.org/choir to watch videos of our Christmas songs and download the piano parts to load directly onto your computer or phone.
Second, here is the latest list of songs we will be singing: “Joy to the World”; “O Come, All Ye Faithful” (2 pianos); Christian “Carol of the Bells” (a cappella); and “Silent Night” (a cappella). We are conside
ring others, as well (for choir and other small groups).
Third, if you like to sing and would appreciate further training in choral music, consider joining the Temecula Valley Symphony (TVS) Chorus. Bro. Eric Rea, who conducted our choir workshops in the past,is the director, and he teaches while he conducts (which is the main reason I am involved). We have had only one rehearsal and I have already learned more about my voice, our choir, and sight-reading music. It costs $50 to join. Rehearsals are on Mondays at 7:15pm. There is currently a waiting list for
ladies, but men are needed. The music is challenging but not overly difficult.
For example, our “Joy to the World” arrangement is the same one that the TVS Chorus is singing. Humanly speaking, the Chorus is fun. Spiritually speaking, the Chorus enhances your appreciation and passion for excellence in music to the glory of God. Please see me if you have any questions.
