One tradition we have established in the Christmas season is our annual Christmas offering which we have dedicated to give to church planters. We do this through the annual Church Planter’s Conference held in January at Heartland Baptist Bible College. Our church family, through this offering, has helped over one hundred different pastors to start churches across America.
We’ve supported Pastor Adam Riverio in planting Liberty Baptist Church in Easton Massachusetts (a Boston suburb) since its inception. The church now leases its own building, and is growing and supporting missions works.
Solid Rock Baptist Church was planted in the heart of LA by Pastor A.J. Harold. Though less than two years old, the church is helping support four other missions works now.
Pastor John Jupp began Vision Baptist Church in Northridge, CA. Although this church has been established for less than two years, they are helping support two missions works as well.
All these I’ve mentioned received significant financial help through the HBBC Church Planter’s Conference. We have seen church planters there receiving offerings anywhere from one or two thousand dollars, to upwards of one hundred thousand dollars. It is an amazing thing to see. This support comes from churches like ours, which sacrificially give.
To the Lord Jesus our Saviour who gave us so much, we like to emphasize our opportunity to give a gift to Him in our Christmas offering. Please pray about what part you could have in this special offering as we celebrate the coming of our Saviour to this earth to give Himself for us.
