An article in the September Acts and Facts Magazine pointed out how the burgeoning study of genetics is having the “side effect” of continuing to bolster our argument for a recent creation, as the Bible teaches. With the multigenerational study of DNA changes scientists have come up with a “genetic clock” that calculates how long a species has existed.
Dr. Jeffrey Tomkins, the writer of the article states, “Both secular and creationist researchers have employed the empirical (verifiable by observation or experience rather than theory or pure logic) method of developing genetic clocks and have achieved similar outcomes—i.e. dates of creature origins well within the biblical timeframe of 6,000 years.”
In a complete contradiction of evolutionary expectations, these same genetic studies have concluded that at least 90% of all animal life is of roughly the same very recent age. Those scientists of a secular mindset couldn’t offer up any explanation other than to theorize that “somehow, life got nearly wiped out across the board…and then had to restart.” What a bummer of a day for the poor evolutionists.
