Like most of you, I’m saddened that the fearmongering campaigns of leftists have successfully frightened many American city leaders into canceling the celebrations of Independence Day this year. Yet, some of these orchestrated efforts of extremists, often using deliberately falsified data, are beginning to be seen for what they are.
Who would have dreamed that the day would come in America where some persons in high places in government would even suggest that the idea of destroying statues and monuments of Washington and Lincoln, and of defacing or destroying Mt. Rushmore would be acceptable propositions?
At the root of all the moral disease and decay is one factual piece of data, and that is the growing decline in the number of people who believe the Bible and believe in the God of the Bible. Extremists, dictators and such, have the best opportunity in places where the influence of the Bible is lowest, and the spiritual commitment of Christians is negligible.
We love and defend the higher ideals of our American heritage, but we must always have a greater love for that better country, the heavenly one, to which we have a higher allegiance.
Hebrews 11:16, But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
