We are always a little saddened when we have one of our church family to move out of the area, but this is part of life for our transient society. We grow to love our military families, knowing that they will likely have to be moved on after a time.
We have others who leave the area with job transfers, or for extended family related matters. Some go because of the anti-conservative political climate engendered from the powerful and affluent leftists who control the state. Then there are those who are looking for places where their retirement dollars can go a little farther than they do here.
Whatever the reasoning, we still miss those who go, but God is good to us as we meet new folks who come, some coming to Christ in salvation and now growing in their walk with the Lord here, and others, believers moving to this area of California and finding that there are still some Bible believing churches and Christians around!
These transitions cause many of us to look forward more earnestly to that coming day, when our Lord returns, and soon establishes His Kingdom here on earth, ruling over all, for a thousand years. No more curse of sin, no more anti-God governments and leaders, no more curse on the earth, no more parting, no more sorrows and sadness… What a day that will be!
In the meanwhile, let us live by the grace of our Lord and keep working at reaching others to come into that Kingdom with us.
