Oh you bunch of comedians… you were all so funny on Friday night at the comedy night.
Great job on all your skits, all the serving and all the cleanup! Well, most of the cleanup anyway… my wife was a little short on help in the kitchen after the event, but Mrs. Langley is a champ (she did most of our dishes)!
Since we weren’t able to sell tickets quite as long this year, and since we had so many people involved, we didn’t make quite as much money as we have in the past. But I’ve always said that comedy night is more of an activity than it is a fundraiser. The funds are just… fun! Hopefully, making five dollars less per person doesn’t make or break your camp fee.
Oh, speaking of camp… have I mentioned to you lately that it’s in TWO WEEKS! If you want to go and haven’t registered, let me know! Full payment is due next week. That’s when I’ll get you the full camp details: packing info, schedule, dress code, etc.
If you haven’t already, take time to let Bro. Gaddis know that you’re praying for camp. And then don’t forget to pray for camp!
Pray for yourself, for the bus trip, for the camp staff, for your counselor, and for Bro. Gaddis. Pray for us to be safe, have fun and for God to speak and us to listen.
Pray. Go to camp seeking God. Go to camp clean—spiritually.
Take the next two weeks to get right with God (if you’re not), or draw closer to Him if you’re already “cleaned up.” (“Cleaning up” is simply this: confess and forsake known sin and draw nigh to God. James 4:8.)
I love you all very much! Great work. Love God, love others, and do right.
