On Wednesday we announced an incredible opportunity for you to work to be involved in: an inner city church planting missions trip. It will be a four-day ministry trip to the heart of Los Angeles to work with a new church plant (or a few) and help with a big Friend Day that they are having. Our main time will be spent working with Pastor AJ Harold of Solid Rock Baptist Tabernacle and his family.
If you want more information, please take a brochure. We are still working out a lot of the details, but we have at least confirmed the dates and one of the church planters.
And the coolest part of all…it’s free. If you work to qualify, you can go completely free (probably a $500+ trip!).
What’s it take to qualify? The two main qualifications are: 1) daily BIBS and 2) Wednesday night church attendance. That’s about it. You get points for other stuff (like bringing your Bible to church, taking notes, going door-knocking), but the MAIN way to get points is the simplest and easiest: come to church and do your BIBS. That’s all!
I’d love to take a big group, but ANY group we take would be incredible. I want you to be exposed to life outside of our perfect, happy little Temecula bubble. You need to see what big city church planting is like and get a burden for people who need the Gospel. Guess what…I need that, too!
I’m super excited about this trip. The bottom of the brochure kind of sums it up when we are talking about the great need of our church planters in big cities. It simply says, “Let’s go help them.” In doing so, we will also help ourselves. I can’t wait till June.
