Though a great many Jews are politically and religiously liberal and are antagonistic toward the gospel of Christ, there are some notable exceptions. Several have become prominent in the conservative commentary radio world. Among these are Michael Medved, Ben Shapiro, and Dennis Prager. Though not yet willing to accept the truth of the gospel, Medved and Prager in particular, have come to recognize that the founding and rise of our nation must be credited to God and to Christians.
All three of the above have stated that they see that Bible believing Christians base their strong support for Israel on the truth from Scripture that God will bless those nations which bless Israel and curse those nations which curse Israel. Gen. 12:2-3,And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
On the other hand, you have those who are liberal politically and/or religiously, who rather consistently oppose Israel and support their enemies. In this camp are many who loosely call themselves Christians, but whose liberal viewpoint brings them to the place of rejection of the Bible as the preserved and pure Word of God. Israel has never been able to count on liberal Christians or liberal Jews for much support.
In assessing the present cultural circumstances of America, Dennis Prager made the following comment in his radio program on Sept. 4, 2019. He was speaking of Bible believing Christians in America. He said, “You are the last dike before the flood of chaos drowns us.” A surprising assessment it is, from a well-informed person who is himself not a Christian. The lesson here is that you, as a Bible believer, can indeed have an impact for righteousness in this present hour.
