Today is VISION SUNDAY, which means that tonight we will give out our annual booklets, talk through 2026, and thank the Lord for the many ways that He has blessed us this past year.
I am so thankful for our church. We’re not huge. It’s a simple ministry. We just meet together weekly, open God’s Word together, worship the Lord together, give to meet needs, and try to spread that Good News to the World.
There’s a lot that we COULD be doing, but at our core, we MUST be fulfilling the Great Commission. We must be seeing people saved, baptized, and discipled in the Scriptures. We must be worshiping the Lord. We must be training people in right doctrine.
As a pastor, I daily sense my own ineptitude. I know my shortcomings, and I’m often reminded of what I could be doing better. I live every day to try to help the most people, and I fail more than I succeed.
But if I do anything, I pray I point each of us to Jesus Christ. I pray for God’s help to bring the Bible home. I pray that I can help God’s church edify itself in love, and I try to serve the body to do that as much as I can.
I’m so excited for this year, and I am so thankful for you. May God give us fruit for HIS eternal glory!
