VISION SUNDAY is today! This morning’s sermon will include a rarity around here… on-screen visuals! On most Sundays I maintain that Jesus and the Apostle Paul preached just fine without powerpoint, and I would hate for you to grow dependent on visuals. But every now and then, like today, we have a special occasion to share some special thoughts in a special way.
This morning’s message will focus primarily on looking back. A verse that’s been coming into my mind all year has been 1 Corinthians 15:58, so I want to use that as a theme to wrap the day’s events around.
Tonight’s message (come back at 5:30pm) will focus primarily on what’s coming in 2025. We will share the booklets that show last year’s events, a special page dedicated to 15-year leaders, and lay out all the major events coming in 2025. You super-sleuths might have pieced together some of the new things we’re launching this year, but this will be an exciting night I hope you don’t miss.
What a wonderful time in our church. Not only this time of year—I always love Vision Sunday—but this is a great season of ministry that we are in. I am so excited for our future, and eager to see what God wants to do in our church in 2025.
I love you dearly, Church. I am so thankful for you, and want God to grow you in miraculous ways this year. “I seek not yours, but you,” as we talked about last Sunday, and “I will very gladly spend and be spent for you.” 2 Cor. 12:14–15
NOTE: Please continue to pray for those affected by the fires. If you or anyone you know needs help, please let the church know so we can try to meet their needs.
