Welcome to the first Sunday of 2024! You’re starting the year off right—in God’s house.
Our year is already shaping up to be a good one. The sicknesses are almost done; people are getting saved, baptized, and discipled; and ministry is happening every day of every week. That’s how it ougth to be. “But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” Hebrews 3:13
You have a powerful influence on others. Do you use that influence daily?
As we look forward to the new year, I hope you purpose to use your life to help others. I was reflecting last week on the 50+ people who are involved in leading ministries of some kind, and MOST of them are weekly. That’s not counting the people who are involved in those ministries! I am so thankful for such a high percentage of people who minister—and I mean give of themselves, serve others, contribute to the cause—rather than merely take.
That’s how it ought to be. Every member finding his or her role in the body. Praise God for a biblical church.
And, even those who have no “official” position in the church, I hear almost weekly about your ministries! Prayers for people, phone calls, discipling family members, and caretaking—that is ministry even if it is never recognized. Don’t worry, it’s all logged in a book. “Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.” Malachi 3:16
2024 is your year to grow as we minister to our Temecula Valley.
