On Thursday, twenty-six of us leave for Durango, Mexico, to visit our missionary and minister in their town. As much as we want to help them, I believe God will help us. Please pray for us by name next week. I believe specific prayers move the hand of God in specific ways. Here are a few ideas on how to pray:
Pray for God to use the culture differences to helps us recognize our blessings. I’ve been praying that our own kids will see how much God has blessed us, and learn spiritual contentment.
Pray for God to help us see the need for souls. Our commission is to “Go ye into all the world…” and “unto the uttermost parts of the earth.” That’s Temecula and Mexico and China, all at the same time! Pray that we grow in our heart for the world.
Pray for God to give us safety. We never want to take that for granted, so we ask for God’s protection.
Pray for God to use us. We are so honored to represent our church as everyone who attends will be ministering in some way—singing, teaching, giving testimonies, or serving in any way we can. Please pray that our efforts are spiritually helpful to souls.
We are going to Mexico to encourage the missionary and expose our church to the need beyond our little Christian bubble here in our conservative Temecula Valley. The need is great, and I’m so honored that God uses us to proclaim His glory around the world. Let’s do our part well.
Please pray specifically for the following families:
Pastor Ryan and Jamie Rench (with Abe, Charlotte, and Gwen); Ariel and Nicole Roman; Philip and Sarah Thompson; Adam Shindle; Santiago Erika, Destiny, and Eric Gomez; Matt, Caleb, and Joshua Rowley; Elizabeth Lanuzo; Maricela, Immanuel, and Joshua Estacuy; Raul, Emma, and Jorge Andrade; and Juan Rodriguez.
