Wendy and I were privileged to attend the Global Independent Baptist Fellowship pastor’s conference at Cleveland Baptist Church last week. It was a blessed time with many of my pastor brethren and the good people of the historic Cleveland Baptist Church in Ohio. Our own Calvary Baptist Church will be hosting the next GIBF meeting here in February 2017. I’m counting on you all for a lot of help as we work to be a blessing to those who will be here for that preacher’s fellowship, just six months from now.
We visited the life-sized Ark which Ken Hamm’s foundation has completed in Northern Kentucky and were impressed with its massiveness, and the excellent presentations within it. From there we enjoyed spending a few days with our son Garret and his wife Anna, and getting acquainted with their pastor and the people of Berean Baptist Church.
Of course, we received the news of Mae Newstrom’s home-going to heaven, and were saddened that we would not get to see her on this side again. Nevertheless, we look forward to that reuniting that is coming for all genuine Christians. Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
