Next week we get to enjoy the preaching of Evangelist Dave McCracken, a favorite around here! Our church has been enjoying his ministry since he was preaching our youth camps back in the 90s, but it has been a couple of years since we have had him. Since so many people are new around here, I am so excited to introduce you to Bro. McCracken! I promise you will not only be helped, but you’ll enjoy it too.
On Friday, we married folk get to enjoy his ministry at our Couples Night Out. We will have a meal, give away door prizes, play some games, and have a challenge from God’s Word regarding our marriages. I have found that after 16 years of marriage, it actually keeps getting better each year. I love it! But I believe our marriage is better now than it ever has been before because of events like this that challenge us to invest in our marriage.
So, if you’re an old-timer around here, you need no convincing to be in church next week. Tyler Dye said, “Even if there’s a schedule conflict, I’m choosing to go to church. If I can’t get a ride, I’ll ride my bike to church if Bro. McCracken is here!” I love that.
May we develop that spirit all the time for God’s house. These days, we need God’s Word more than ever before.
