It was COLD last weekend!
I got to take Abe to Colorado with me, as I was preaching a youth rally last Saturday and then all the services last Sunday at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Colorado Springs. If you saw my welcome video, you could see it was snowy! We never saw above 12 degrees, I think, and the lowest it got was -8! I don’t think I’ve ever been in that cold of weather!
Well, we made it. And as “routine” as it is for Coloradans to be covered in snow, I never want to take God’s travel mercies for granted. Every day of protection is a gift from Him, and every prayer for safety was answered.
So thank you. Thank you for praying. I sure did miss being home. As good as it was out there, it’s not home.
To put a spiritual twist on it…
This world is not my home; I’m just a-passing through.
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.
The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door,
And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.
