God wrote the Scriptures for all people from all time in all cultures, and as we have learned from Ephesians 4, God’s gift to you is the church… a place where we bring the Bible home. We edify ourselves in love through the various gifts God has assembled here—you are a gift!
A lot of that edifying happens every week through the preached Word. Pastors and teachers take God’s timeless revelation and try to apply it to THIS time we are living in. Without speaking the truth in love, we are spiritual babies or out-of-control barges driven by the forces of nature.
False teachers are more accessible today than ever before, and Christians must be grounded in doctrine if they are to survive the storms of life.
The Sunday school answer is still the best answer to every question: JESUS. That’s not simplistic; that’s Bible truth.
Do you know Jesus?
Are you growing in knowing Jesus?
Have you “learned Christ?”
