Joel Abbott wrote an empassioned article last week called “Trans activists are calling for more blood after the Nashville shooting. Here’s how Christians should respond.” It is worth a full read. I might disagree on a few things, but the majority of it is a powerful expose on the Satanic fight against righteousness.
Christians have to hate this stuff.
Yes, the school shooting last week was a result of the evil of mankind, and this particular evil was the rejection of God’s design.
Romans 1:28-32 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
In the article, Abbott reveals some of the vile tweets in the aftermath of last week’s shooting. The answer is, of course, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jesus died for God-hating activists, and murderers, and transgender people. He died for your sin and mine.
Yet some sins are more damaging to culture than others. Denying biblical authority has led to an upside-down morality, where right is wrong, and wrong is right. Good is now evil, and evil is called good.
Transgender ideology is evil not only because it denies God (that’s the primary evil), but because of its corrosive effects on society. Name something good that has come from foisting preferred pronouns on the mass population, changing bathrooms, and pretending like sex and gender are somehow maleable. We are not being hateful in pushing back against family-hating, God-hating ideologies.
There’s a righteous war on right now.
And that’s why Jesus had to die on the cross. This war is nothing new. Jesus gave us the victory through his death and resurrection.
Looking for hope in these dark days? Look no further than Jesus Christ. He died to make all wrongs right.
