I pointed out recently, that the student walkouts protesting for more intrusive government in the area of gun controls indicates the coercive power of the liberal secular left in the public arena. Reports of the investments of extremists like George Soros in that movement verify this. The idea promoted to the students was that more gun restrictions and confiscations might save some lives. Most of these youngsters are blissfully unaware that the issue the liberal left is interested in is not saving lives but rather having control.
Proof: The Liberal left, (as well as secular conservatives) are not nearly so interested in saving life as they feign to be. How so? Multiplied thousands of lives are lost every year as a result of the abundant availability of alcoholic drink. In the years 2016 and 2017 combined, there were 7 children killed in school shootings in America. In that same two-year period, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there were over 8,600 children and underage young adults who died directly from alcohol consumption. This number does not include thousands more young people who are killed every year in alcohol-related traffic accidents.
A legitimate question would be, where are the mass protests against the alcohol industry and its promoters, defenders and users? Why is it okay for thousands of students to die every year as a result of alcohol? Why is it that the media, liberal or conservative, rarely even touch on this tragedy of ongoing slaughter of young people? First, because so many of these people are supporters of the alcohol industry as users. Second, because of the hundreds of billions of dollars involved. Bible believing Christians are about the only ones who seem to get this. God’s Word speaks for itself on the issue.
Proverbs 20:1, Wine is a mocker; strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
Proverbs 23:31-32, Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
