It was 15 years ago this week that my wife and I moved from Stillwater, OK, to come on staff here at Calvary Baptist Church. I had hair on my head and none on my face, but over time they switched places!
What an incredible JOY to see what God has done over these past 15 years. We’ve watched kids grow up and get married, teens graduate and go into ministry, families heal through troubling times, and souls saved from death to life!
Four years ago this week I became the pastor here, and you’ve been so patient through my growth. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. I know people say that so much that it’s almost a cliche, but I choose those words carefully. I mean it as deeply as I know how to communicate it.
I love this church. I love you dearly.
Let’s keep loving the Lord for another 15 years together. Glory to God!
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Cor. 15:58
