HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
I’ve grown to appreciate my mom and my wife more and more as each year goes by. Not just for the sheer number of things that they DO, but for who they ARE.
What I see in many families is that moms are like the relationship glue that holds everybody together. Typically, they’re the ones who nurture, and care, and make sure everybody is happy and included.
It’s a hard job, and most men are not man enough to do it! Some men have to go to work just to get some rest.
I’ll be the first to admit that women—maybe especially moms—are the toughest people on the planet. Somebody said, “Only a woman who’s gone through 12 hours of natural labor without an epidural can understand what it’s like to be a man with a cold.” That’s about right. We have struggles too. We men can relate.
But enough about us. This is about you, mom. I’m so thankful you’ve gathered with us today to worship the Lord.
As tough as moms are, they can somehow balance that with sweetness and love, and that’s a superpower. God bless you, ladies. Thank you for being who you are.
On this Mother’s Day, we men promise to tough it out, just for you.
But, first, can you bring me the box of tissues?
