Our Sunday night services are a BLESSING! I’ve been so excited to gather together with you, worship the Lord, and get in His Word.
Last week, we kicked off our Summer Sunday Evenings–an earlier schedule to take advantage of the longer daylight hours. We are starting our services one hour earlier—now at 5pm—and last week we already were blessed by the testimonies from our graduates: Immanuel Estacuy, Grace Knapp, Reese Guy, Delaney Guy, Naomi Theurich, and Rose Bailey. Their words were encouraging to me, and after the service, we got cupcakes! If the spiritual food was bad… at least the physical food was good! Amen? *sigh
Tonight, I encourage you to come back at 5 pm. It’s a great opportunity to serve others and get to know your family a little closer. If we are to take the Scriptures seriously, then every member of this body is important. I need you. You need others. We need us.
We called it “Hospitality Summer,” and I’d just love it if you used the extra time to get together with someone you don’t know very well. Find a new face and make a new friend!
Also, after the service we’ll play some volleyball together. Even if you don’t play, you can at least join us in the Fellowship Hall for some snacks and, well, fellowship!
I was SO encouraged to see two men here on Wednesday–Paul and Andrew–who each had to wake up at 3:00 or 3:30 the next morning to get to work. I realize it’s a commitment to be at church, but it’s also a blessing–it’s a blessing TO you and THROUGH you to others.
With our services at 5 pm, it will still be light for two more hours after church, and gives plenty of time for other things. I really believe that when you keep God first, He gives you a special grace to get through each day.
See you tonight! -Pastor Ryan
