What a crowd last Sunday night! I’m a little suspicious that we might have had a bump from the yard sale pre-sale that was happening after the service, but you were here! And that’s what matters!
I hope we never have to rely on gimmicks to “hook you” into coming. I believe church attendance is what fuels and feeds the believer, but I also believe it’s the prime time to give of yourself to the body of Christ. Your membership is more than taking; it’s giving, too.
I also believe no one should beg you to come to church, or congratulate you for coming to church, or even thank you for coming to church. That sets up a false hierarchy, as if you’re coming to church to please someone or respond to someone. This is the LORD’S house—come for Him!
And, oh what singing! What a BLESSING! Such incredible new music… Sherry Foss told me afterwards, “That ‘It’s All of Grace’ song moved me to tears!” I agree. I love it so much.
Today, let’s practice what we’ve learned. Sing from the heart. Concentrate on the message. Really use your voice for God’s glory.
What was the verse we highlighted last Sunday night?
Psalms 47:6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
Let’s sing!
