Did you know the rapture is happening in just two days? Well, probably not. Recently, there has been quite a stir online after a South African pastor declared that he received a vision in which Jesus revealed the exact dates of the rapture.
In a viral YouTube video, Pastor Joshua Mhlakela describes seeing Jesus return to Earth during this year’s Rosh Hashanah. “The rapture is upon us, whether you are ready or not,” Mhlakela stated. “I saw Jesus sitting on his throne, and I could hear him very loud and clear saying, ‘I am coming soon.’” He went on to add, “He said to me on the 23rd and 24th of September 2025, ‘I will come back to the Earth.’”
Many people have taken this prediction and run with it, claiming that they’ve had visions of Jesus telling them the same thing.
Some of the comments under his viral video said:
“My 10yr daughter dreamt of the rapture recently.”
Another wrote, “Wow, I can read people and Joshua is 100% telling the truth. I never even listen to videos claiming visions, but God told me to watch this.”
Here’s why Joshua Mhlakela is wrong:
Jesus would NEVER contradict His Word!
Mark 13:32 — “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”
Christ’s second coming will be totally unexpected.
1 Thessalonians 5:2 — “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.”
Because no one knows when the rapture will happen, we must constantly be telling others about the Gospel.
Our Missions Revival is just three weeks away. Missions Revival is our church’s effort to be stirred again in praying for missions, giving to missions, and being personally involved in missions by sharing the Gospel with others.
Though the rapture probably isn’t two days away, we should still be reminded to pray that the Gospel will be taken to every nation, give to equip those who go, and be willing to go and take it to those who haven’t heard.
