Today starts our four-day Missions Revival.
We have been praying and preparing for God to revive our hearts for the cause of Christ around the world, and I believe every member should be involved in every service this week. I believe that. I can think of almost nothing that the Lord would say, “What you’re doing is better.” Even if you are unable to make it to the night services, I encourage you to catch up with them on our livestream. Livestream is no substitute for the in-person assembly of God’s church, and church is so much more than just consuming content through a screen, but livestream can be a valuable tool to help you grow in your heart for souls around the world. But being here is the best chance to see and interact with our missionaries, and catch their heart for the lost. We need that.
Tonight is our Missions Banquet. It is potluck style with dish from all around the world, and I’ll be explaining how you can be involved in worldwide missions all year long. We will also be unveiling our new missions brochure to help you see all of our missionaries and how they are broken down into categories.
Tomorrow is our close-up focus on not only the field of Spain with the Belasco family, but on all our foreign mission fields. About 70% of our missions budget is for foreign missions, and we want to give generously to the cause of Christ.
On Tuesday we will highlight the mission field of the Philippines as we anticipate our 2025 Missions Trip. Pastor Carlos Serrano, his family, and many members of Bible Baptist Church in National City will be joining us for the service.
Finally, on Wednesday, Bro. Tim LaVere will be preaching as a representative of our internship program. Our one summer of training has infleunced Bro. Tim’s life in a lasting way, and I want you to see how valuable YOU are to the training that goes into our summer interns.
Each night, we will have a free meal in the Fellowship Hall so you can come straight from work and won’t have to worry about rushing. This will give us all a chance to sit with the missionaries and one another and enjoy some fellowship.
See the schedule on the next page for what to expect. We have been anticipating a great work, and I am so excited that this week is finally here. Now let’s enjoy it!
