An Exciting Month!
“The only easy day was yesterday.” That’s not quite our slogan around here, but sometimes it feels like it! The only easy month was last month! Now that we are heading into the new year, I am very excited for all the things we have to look forward to.
Missionaries. Missionary Jacob Pierce to Nepal is passing through this area, and he will be preaching next Wednesday. And then the Tylers, our missionaries to Romania, will be here for our split session the next week (Jan. 21). I love missionaries!
Split sessions. The Jan. 21 split sessions will be a blessing to look forward to the new year. The ladies will cover some upcoming ladies events, and all the men will receive a short book you can read in an hour.
Vision Sunday. This Sunday night we will look ahead at 2026 and see what God might do through our church in the future!
Deeper In the Word Bible Institute. We have three new classes planned for the Spring semester of our Bible institute. Sign up in the foyer for any of the following: Bible survey (overview of the books of the Bible), Revelation, and KJV.
Admin Meeting. The annual administration meeting is when we vote on budget and offices. Please see the budget proposals below, and see any of the deacons or Mrs. Shae Roberts for any questions you might have about the budget. Please ask any questions now so that we can have time to sort through any answers or changes proposed.
Church Planting Conference. We have participated every year since about 2004 in the National Church Planting Conference at Heartland Baptist Bible College. This is perhaps one of the greatest investments, because many of the churches that we give to go on to become not only self-supporting, but become missions-giving churches themselves. Please pray for me as I preach at the conference this year. I am bringing my new book A Case For Baptist Baptism and several brochures (including all the new Scripture Helps brochures) to share with pastors and students.
