What a Sunday Night!
When Bro. Stan was not feeling well enough to give his testimony last Sunday night, we opened it up for salvation testimonies from the congregation, and what a blessing the night turned out to be.
Bro. Rob Russo gave such a powerful and engaging testimony that it felt like preaching! He was even walking around left and right… he needed a lapel mic for his testimony. Thank you, Jesus!
He made it pretty plain: God changes lives. I loved how he didn’t glorify his past but didn’t shy away from it either, just like the Apostle Paul.
- 1 Timothy 1:13-16 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
Testify nights are about 1) Giving God the glory for the lives He has changed, and 2) Calling people to follow that pattern of growth and change.
You will never know the kind of impact you can have through your testimony. Timothy was saved as a child, but his story was not less magnificent than the Apostle Paul’s. Everyone who is saved has experienced a miracle!
Tell someone about it. That’s being a witness.
