Being in the Word
In January, we talked about this being a year of “Growing in knowing Jesus,” and here we are at the halfway point of the year. Have you grown?
I love that about 40 ladies are involved in this weekly ladies Bible study. It’s been the highlight of our week every Monday to sit and talk with my wife about what God is doing in ladies’ lives. I love that you can continue with some great content throughout the week, too. The teaching is great (I’ve read my wife’s notes!), but the take-home books helps it sink in. If only someone could do that for my sermons every week!
The teens have been doing a Bible study, too, and I love that we have a huge percentage of our church actively seeking the Lord every day through His Word. That’s not counting Sunday school classes, church services, or all the other individual Bible studies.
What will grow us? Being in the Word.
This is like the midyear checkup. I am so thankful for all the baptisms this year, the people in discipleship, and the godly people who are serving the Lord every single week. Keep it up!
