SEPTEMBER IS MISSIONS MONTH
Everything this month is building up to our Missions Revival on Sep. 24–27.
Actually, we have been building up to this for over a year. Our last Missions Revival was in the Spring of 2022, so we have worked to keep missions in front of us in a variety of ways:
- Weekly missionary letters on Wednesdays.
- A missions trip to Durango, Mexico (Oct. ’22)
- Missionary updates: Tim Tyler (Aug. ‘22), Arturo Garza (Feb.), Ryan Strother (Apr.), John Honeycutt (May), and Dan Morris (July).
- New missionaries preaching and/or presenting: Joel Herrera (July) and Sam Thomas (last week).
- S. church planters highlighting domestic missions: Micah Lasseter (June ’22) and James Kim (Aug.).
I love the work of missions. I love missionaries. All of their efforts use money, but need the power of the Lord. We can certainly send funds—and that’s a powerful blessing that we get to experience—but let’s use these next two weeks to PRAY for the power of the Lord on our Missions Revival.
The Cottage Prayer Meetings are a new feature to this year’s Missions Revival, so please sign up for the meeting(s) you will attend. I hope every member of CBC can attend at least one meeting.
Let’s PRAY.
