June was a busy month. Glad that’s over.
I mean… MAN it was hard sitting in my office while the interns did all that work! I had to make sure they slaved in the sun for all those garage sale pickups, did yard work, prepared for Comedy Night, got VBS ready, made Knott’s plans, bought Courtyard Café stuff, set up Graduation Sunday, hosted a Saturation Saturday and Men’s Prayer breakfast, and a lot more! Poor me, right?
Well, poor me for having to put up with them, yes!
But those guys worked hard. Poor guys. Now that July’s here, they can rest, right? Wrong.
More VBS, Courtyard Café, camp, Knott’s, Game Night, and a bunch of other stuff this month. Before they know it, it will be time for them to leave (nooooooo!!!).
If you haven’t noticed, summer time flies by.
What can we do about that? Nothing? Is it hopeless? Are we doomed to be those old people that always talk about how fast time flies?
Nope.
The answer is in the Scripture: Redeem the time.
Buy it back. Use it for eternal purposes. Make every moment count. Remember—as often as you can—that your life is eternal, so make eternal choices. Do things that will benefit your eternity.
Then, when you get old, instead of being sad at how fast life goes by, you will be happy to spend eternity with God in the relationship that He started with you on earth.
Don’t waste your youth. Use it for eternity.
