I was taking mental roll on Tuesday.
I almost never do this, but for some reason I was glancing through the congregation and observing who was in the Tuesday evening revival service. I was definitely not doing it to be nosy or to judge anyone for missing. I don’t really remember what made me start taking choir “roll,” but as I glanced around, I was encouraged to see almost the whole choir in attendance.
And wasn’t it a great night? For that matter, the entire week was a great week! Bro. Ingram was a blessing to us, and each sermon was spot on. He made it clear from God’s Word that we are to be completely surrendered to God in all areas of life, and when we are, God is there to guide and help us along the way. Sure, there will be bumps and unexpected twists, but as long as we are expecting them, they won’t derail us from serving God.
It was great seeing you in church, choir. I like a choir that’s not all show on Sunday and that’s it. I like—like Bro. Ingram said—when God’s people just can’t wait to hear from their Father. I like when they keep Him first in all things, including their schedule.
Thank you for being an encouragement to me on Tuesday. You didn’t even know you were doing it. Isn’t God good that way?
