This weekend I am heading to Ironwood to share some ideas with other youth leaders. We sit around the meeting room for two days and discuss things we’ve done, games we’ve played, parent meeting ideas, sermon series ideas, and much more.
One of the ideas I’m presenting this weekend is being intentional. About everything.
Are you deliberate about what you do? Life is to short to just let it slip by. Eternity is too important to waste time on selfish things. Are you intentionally improving yourself spiritually?
I am not perfect—not even close—but I try to work at being intentional. Each note I write, each sermon I preach, each activity we do… almost everything related to the Teens of Faith is intentionally designed to help you in some way. The pictures on the wall have a reason behind them. The fact that we structure our classtimes this way is intentional. The times we have special trips are reasoned.
My wife and I think about you all the time. We talk about you. We want to help you, so we intentionally do things to help you.
We do that in our marriage, in our family, and in our ministry. I try to do that in my own personal life, too.
Do you?
Don’t just float through life. Please make it mean something!
Be wise. Be scripturally wise. Make choices each day that intentionally help you to be more wise.
I love you all! The BEST way I can love you is to help you be a wiser person. Now go wise up!
