I am. (Just kidding!) J
Tonight is Bro. Tim’s last time to preach in our class, and it has been awesome so far. If you’ve been here for all the other sermons, you’ve seen not only the great content but also Bro. Tim’s heart in his preaching. I’ve loved his style, and it’s been great to hear from someone who is just a little removed from where you’re at.
Bro. Tim and Bro. Garrett are great examples of young men who love the Lord and are trying to give their youth and strength to God while they have it. I’ve tried to operate under that same philosophy. I don’t have the years of wisdom and experience like someone like Pastor or Bro. Davison, but I DO have youth, strength, energy, time and perhaps more ability to be active in ministry. So, while I have it, I want to use it for God.
Bro. Garrett and we were out there all week at camp spending energy and playing with you. We do that not just because it’s fun for us, but it is time and energy that can be spent on you. The Alaska trip may be tiring, but we’re young enough that we can bounce back pretty easily. I can’t offer you experience or wisdom, but I CAN promise you that you’re usually getting the best that my poor little mind can crank out. And, while you’ve got my youth and strength, I’ll dedicate that to the youth ministry.
Same with our interns. Hopefully, same with you. Will you give God your best no matter what stage of life you’re in? When you’re old, you won’t have the time and strength that you have now. What are you doing now? Sitting around and wasting all that energy on video games and tv? What a waste. Use every bit of yourself to do your best for God.
