Note from Wednesday, December 11, 2013
We’ve got a few things going on this weekend.
First, this Friday is our annual Christmas party. Aside from it being an awesome night to hang out, we always do some sort of unique devotion to challenge and encourage you. This year, you will enjoy it. I promise. Unless you don’t. Then that’s your problem.
But come this Friday. Meet at the Myers’ house at 6:00, and have your parents pick you up at 8:30. See the announcements below for what to bring.
The next day is Saturation Saturday. It’s a day that you can come to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. It’s been awesome using the Merry Christmas church tracts, because it’s so easy to first wish someone “Merry Christmas” and then have a tract that also invites them to our church. People have been very receptive.
Finally, this Sunday is our Cantata in the morning and Christmas Program in the evening. You know your songs by now and you know what you should wear, right? Right. The Christmas Program will be really good. I loved having practice with you the past few weeks. You’ve done really well with the songs. Keep up the good work.
In preparation for Sunday, we need some help tonight setting up some chairs after the service. If you’re available, please stick around and help out. It is your fund-raiser, after all! J

COOKIE SIGNUP – Please sign up to bring cookies to our fund-raiser. Please have the cookies here this Sunday morning.
YOUTH WINTER RENDEZVOUS – January 2-3 in Wrightwood, CA. Leaving at 8am Thursday and returning Friday evening. The YWR is a 2-day camp in the mountains where we will enjoy snow play, indoor games, and, most importantly, 4 preaching sessions. Cost is $110 and includes all gas, meals and lodging.
CHRISTMAS PARTY – THIS Friday, 6:00 – 8:30pm. Bring a snack to share, a $5 gift to exchange, and a coat (we’re walking around outside.) Meet at Evan Myers’ house (see directory for address).
GOOD JOB – We see you all the time, so we’re used to you. But when guests show up, they see you in a whole new light. My inlaws were really pleased with how kind you were, and they mentioned in particular that you were very attentive during the preaching. Praise God! They were impressed that you were engaged by choice, and that you were responsive. Great job. You made us proud… in a good way, that is.
