Camp was fun. The food was good. Daniel broke his foot. The preaching was good. You know. The usual.
All that is true, by the way. Camp was a blast! I’m sorry if you had to miss it. The games and activities this year were as good as ever before, and the new way the competition was structured this year made for a better climax to the end of the week. It’s all about nuggets! Also, the food was amazing. Especially for Juniors, Seniors and Graduates. Ice cream, salad bar, fresh fruit, dessert… oh yeah.
Daniel got an x-ray yesterday and he has a cracked fibula. They finally found some crutches that were tall enough for him, so he’ll be hobbling around here for a while. Pray for the doctors as he sees them tomorrow.
Best of all—the preaching was thoroughly biblical and very challenging. I don’t know what you were expecting before going into the week, but what we got was apparently what God wanted us to hear. It was really good all week, and I hope you heard God at every message. Bro. Goetsch preached amazing Bible messages, and his stories brought everything home. We learned about potential, surrender, commitment, and much, much more. (I’ll be loading the sermons on the website as soon as I can.)
While we take pictures at the activities and remember the fun of the week, as always, the point of camp is the preaching. Pray for each other. Pray for yourself. Pray for me and Pastor as we try to make some decisions about next year. Pray for your friends as you help each other keep your decisions.
Thanks for an amazing week. I can’t wait till next year!
-Bro. Ryan
