Great work last week for the Preaching Rally! I was SO pleased with how it all turned out, and you were a great testimony to all our guests by how hard you worked and how well you did with all your duties. The skits were hilarious. Great work.
The food line was incredible, too. I’ve never seen it go so quick. It was the fastest it’s ever been. Seriously! That’s what I’ve always wanted, and it went perfectly! If you were on the food team, it sounded like an intense job! Good work.
The music was great, too. Solid job, Mixed Ensemble. I can tell which of you put the effort in at home, and it paid off. Good work.
The preaching was, of course, the highlight of the day. I like how you responded and were intent on hearing from God. My wife and I were reflecting on how neat it was that you were so in tune with Bro. Rick. There was one point on Saturday that he was preaching and he made a good point with a touch of humor, and you were the only church that laughed. I just thought it was interesting. There was something about his preaching that you in particular were more open to. I’m not exactly sure what it was, but it was cool to see.
Did you get the overall point of the day? I hope it was a help to you. When you allow God to mold and make you into the form He designed, your life works best. You’re made of particular stuff, and you’re different than the opposite gender. If you’re a boy, you’re made of different stuff than a girl, and vice versa. Sin disfigures and dismembers the genders, but a BODY and a MIND that are 100% surrendered to God will be transformed into HIS best way. His way looks different from the world’s way. Since we’re all on level playing ground, it’s not about being a “manly” person by being good at sports, fishing, hunting, fixing cars, or working on computers. Every man and women—however God has gifted you—is called by God to be a man in God’s specific way for you. Glorify God. Don’t hurt others. Help and love others. Follow right examples. BE a good example.
Saturday was a fine example of good, Bible preaching. And Sunday was, too. If you missed any of the services, you can find them on our website.
