Wednesday nights have been awesome. If you’ve missed them lately, you’re missing out!
We typically start the night with a couple quick announcements and then split guys and girls into separate classes. What you’ve been coming up with in the class discussions has been awesome.
Last Wednesday was, “What does a life of faith and trust in God look like today?” Back in Daniel’s day, it looked like this: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego loved God so much that they were literally willing to give their lives and be thrown in a furnace rather than bow to another god. What furnaces are in your life? Will standing up for God’s Word put you in a furnace situation today? What types of furnaces do you face? We talked about standing on God’s Word when talking with atheists, when in class discussions about gay marriage, and when talking about choosing Bible college over secular university. Those are awkward conversations (furnace situations). But honestly, do you think they’re as awkward as facing death? Nah. Live by faith just like Daniel and his friends did.
After the Bible discussions we then move to Man-Time and Lady-Time. We’ve learned sewing, cooking, volleyball, basketball, knot-tying, jumping a car, CPR concepts and more.
So, I invite you to come this Wednesday at 7pm. It will probably be better for you than anything else you’d be doing, right?
