- You’re real. There’s nothing cool about faking anything. Everyone sees through you.
- You serve. The disciples asked Jesus, “Who’s going to sit by your side in heaven?” Jesus replied, “the best one here is the one who serves the best.”
- You’re faithful. Anyone can start well. How you continue is what makes you worthwhile as a Christian.
- You obey. Don’t give in to the peer pressure of being thought of as a goody-two-shoes-teacher’s-pet-know-it-all. If you’re simply obeying the Lord, keep it up.
- You’re attentive. Attentive people get a lot more. You’re not funny if you’re always falling asleep, always messing around, or always making jokes.
- You learn. Attentive people learn a lot more. Learners win at everything. They figure out what it takes to win, and they can’t soak up enough of what will help them.
- You grow. Attentive learners can’t help but grow. They’re constantly figuring out what they need to fix in their lives, constantly working on fixing them, and they consequently grow. These points apply to more than just your spiritual life.
- You love God. Loving God deeper than anything else changes everything. It changes your Facebook, your speech at school, your shyness about Christ, your church attendance… Do you ever stop and think about Christ and His sacrifice? Love God.
- You love others. You’re NOT the best when you put them down, talk badly about them or talk ugly to them. You’re best when you stand up for others, reach out to others, and generally try to help others.
- You do right. If you love God and you’re actively trying to love others, it changes the things you do. If you are just trying to do what’s right, don’t worry about what others think. Just do right. Do what God would want you to do.
