Just like all the other crazy predictions of the past,
the world didn’t end… again.
Too bad. I wanted to be in heaven right now. It’s a
lot better than this ol’ earth!
But WHAT IF the world had ended last week, like some people
predicted? WHAT IF the rapture had happened? WHAT IF God judged you?
That’s what’s going to happen some day. I’m not trying to scare you…it’s just the truth! God will judge you based on His law. If you’ve broken it, you are unholy and have to pay for your sin.
Have you ever stolen? How about lied? Or hated someone? Jesus said hate is as bad as murder (same root), and you’ll face God as a lying, murdering thief!
Rev. 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
1 Cor. 6:9-10 know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
I’m not judging you, but God will.
So WHAT IF He had judged you last week? Would you have gone to heaven or hell?
Jesus paid the penalty for your sin and gave you the gift of
salvation. All you have to do to receive that gift is repent of your sin and turn to Christ, giving him your life. HE gives you new life–new desires, passions, and impulses. He gives you the comfort of knowing Him. He gives you the assurance that you’re in Him.
That’s how I know the answer to the WHAT IF question, personally. WHAT IF God had come last week? I’d be okay. I’m saved by Jesus’ blood. I was born again way back in Nov. 1991. I remember the time that I believed in my heart and spoke the words of trust to God in prayer. Rom. 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
How about you? When did you do that?
