7-12-15 A Different America

Historically, legitimate churches in
America have been viewed as making
great contributions to the public good.
This was due to the fact that when
people live by the principles of the Bible,
they do become a greater good to the
society as a whole. This is just one of
several reasons why churches have tax
exempt status in America. The benefit
any city might gain from property tax
revenue from churches is a far smaller
value than the benefit a church gives to a community.
It is likely that as the population and the politicians and the
courts lean away from our founding biblical principles, they
will be even more adversely biased against conservative
Bible believing churches. With the Supreme Court departing
from any sense of jurisprudence and discarding the definition
of marriage, the homosexual movement has become even
more intent of silencing any voice of opposition to perverse
sexual practices. It’s not as though we weren’t warned of
these conditions;
2Tim. 3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous
times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own
selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient
to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers
of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers
of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of
godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn
away.
For our part, let us be supportive of the Truth, as it is revealed
in the Word of God, and let’s sustain our Trust, as it rests in
our Lord and Saviour!
