One of the best questions you can ever ask yourself is, “What is the wise thing to do?” This question is not original with me. A pastor of a big church recently wrote a book on this exact phrase, and when I heard it explained, I agreed.
Think about it. What situation does it not apply to?
In everything you face, ask, “What is the wise thing to do?” If you have a choice to make, choose wisdom.
Should I go to church or stay home and do homework? What’s the wise thing to do?
Should I go door-knocking this weekend or not?
Should I go this party with this friend?
Should I date this person? Should I like this person?
How should I respond when my parents say ______?
What is the wise thing to do? What would wisdom tell you to do?
Wisdom speaks, if you’re searching for it and listening. Starting this Sunday we will be looking at the book of Proverbs for wisdom. It will not be an in-depth look at every verse in Proverbs; rather, it’s a simple look at some random verses scattered throughout the book.
Come every Sunday. For the rest of your life. – Bro. Ryan
