Tonight, Bro . Aaron Myers will be giving a testimony of how the Lord has worked in his life over the past couple years . On Tuesday, the Myers family will be moving to Oklahoma City to enroll at Heartland Baptist Bible College as Bro . Aaron studies for ministry.
Through last summer, circumstances in Bro. Myers’ life were unfolding, causing him to launch out by faith into the unknown. He retired from his military career and worked in construction for a few months, all the while being faithful to his ministries here at church. Within God’s perfect timing, they moved into the staff house on church property and began working daily here at the church as our staff intern . Since the Fall, Bro. Aaron and his family have been a HUGE blessing around the church. Did you notice the new sign or the lights that are never burned out? Probably not, but Bro. Aaron took care of those. Did you notice the tractor work down at the parking lot, the weed-free flower beds, or the empty trash cans around church? Maybe that is not something you think of when you come in to worship, but Bro. Myers has been instrumental in helping out with all kinds of small things like that around church.
We will miss him and his sweet wife and kids. We know God has moved in this whole process, though, and we know that getting in the way of God’s plan is never a good idea. Maybe someday Bro. Aaron will plant a church near a military base, a family will get saved, get transferred out here and become vital members of our church. We will never know unless we send them out! Be sure to keep them in your prayers as they travel!
