I got this note from our own Abagail H. this week. She’s currently deployed in the Middle East and serves in USMC intel. I wanted to pass it along asking you to pray for her as well.
Good Morning Pastor Rench!
I know it’s been a while since the last time I sent an email out, I just wanted to wish you and your family an amazing new year. I hope the Christmas/New Year season went well for you all. Also, I will be coming home soon, I can’t give out dates right now (due to operational security) but it’s the light at the end of the tunnel. Being deployed has really challenged my faith and it has grown it in so many different ways. I believe God put me on this deployment to serve Him and to get to know Him better. Yes, there have been some rough days, I’ve spent the hardest days of my life out here, but with pain and suffering comes grace and mercy. I do ask want to ask one thing from you and your family, please pray for God’s direction in my life and let His will be done. Right now, and for the past few weeks, there has been a flame that’s growing and I can’t wait to share my experience and God’s grace, but at the same time, I don’t really know or understand how God is going to use me for His plan.
Thank you for all of the prayers and letters, my team and I couldn’t have done it without them. When I’m finally on U.S. soil, I’ll message you and/or Jamie and I’ll be sitting in the church pew that next Sunday I’m home. I’ll see you all soon.
God bless,
Abagail
