When you have a commute or other time when you can listen, there are some better resources than just having what’s on the radio. I thought we might suggest some of these. With the ever-increasing uses of the smart phone for such things, we are working on an app which will be our own, so that all our church connections can be in one place rather than scattered across several different platforms. This will make it much easier to get to the calendar, the schedules, the announcements, photos, videos, sermon resources, giving, book and other resource purchases, and more.
In the meantime you will be blessed and helped by the preaching and teaching you’ll readily find on the following sites I often use: http://southwestbaptistchurch.com/resources/sermon-series/ and https://preaching.lancasterbaptist.org/sermons.
If you have a limited data plan, you can listen to sermons from our church offline for free via the Podbean app. While at home on wifi, you can download that app, search for Calvary Baptist Church and then download the sermons to the app. Then when you’re commuting or away from wifi, simply open the Podbean app and listen without using data. If you have any questions, please see Ryan or Jamie Rench to get some assistance.
Because of the doctrinal hodgepodge of voices often found in Christian radio and television, people may end up more confused than helped at times. Those sources mentioned above are going to be much more doctrinally trustworthy than just the general mix of Christian media. Give them a listen.
