We are blessed with a congregation having many people who are ready and willing to be a help when there is a need. We so appreciate this fact. We needed some things to complete the Missions Apartment out back and the list was soon responded to, having all that we had asked for given within a week or two! Thanks, all of you who were part of meeting that need!
A couple of weeks ago, on a Wednesday with just the men of our split sessions, I read of a need of one of our church planters in Greenville, Mississippi. This is an area of the Mississippi Delta, and an area of the country that is economically depressed.
God has used Pastor Charles Hamilton to plant an independent Baptist Church there. They were able to purchase a church building a couple of years ago, and they are facing a balloon payment in January of 2019. I asked the men to pray about their giving toward this need and then we took up an offering on the next Wednesday evening together. We were able to send that church a check for $1,500 toward their need!
