God used the preaching of His precious word this past week, to bring lost souls to salvation and to strengthen and encourage every believer who attended the Revival services with our guest preacher, Brother McCracken. We were exhorted and reminded of the fact that all of us were put into the race spoken of in Hebrews 12, and that we all need to be running the race. It got some of us off the sidelines and out of the stands and “back on track!” We got our eyes off self and off others and got back to looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
We all related to the illustration in the metaphor of the race where the preacher talked about times in life that it seems we are trying to run the race in sand. Those are the hard times, trying times, when we want to give up and pull out of the race. Thank God for the truth that God is even using those times we hate what is happening to us, to our eventual greater benefit.
On this race track, there is a lane to run in, for every one of us. Let’s do what God told us to; Let us run with patience, the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
